Our viewers will be happy to learn that The Daily Signal is relaunching “Top News in 10,” with a completely new host and for the first-time ever, in a video format. Starting today, we will roll it out in the morning, providing you all those essential news updates to start your day.

Kinnett is the new anchor for “The Tony Kinnett Cast.” He launched the hour-long radio and TV show, and podcast November 2023. Running currently on 14 stations in 12 states across the country, viewers can tune in live every weeknight at 7:00.

Each weekday at 5 a.m., The Daily Signal launches its "Top News in 10" episode on YouTube, X, and other social media outlets, with an audio-only edition accessible on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your preferred podcast application.

And now, with an expanding YouTube viewership for The Daily Signal, more people can actually ‘see’ what’s going on each day with the launch of a video format for “Top News in 10.” Trinko said that the rapid growth, from 370,000 in January to over 650,000 at present, was a testament to the increasing popularity of the short five-minute videos produced daily by Daily Signal senior contributor Victor Davis Hanson.

"As we saw the viewership of Victor Davis Hanson’s videos really take off, we knew this was the perfect time to experiment with a new presentation for our daily flagship news show,” Trinko said. “We’ll still respect our audience’s busy schedules by offering the option to get their news updates via video as well as through an audio podcast.”

The “Top News in 10” video format would give viewers a snappy way to interact with The Daily Signal’s short, sweet news recap while keeping to the show’s original intent of dishing the day’s most important stories in only 10 minutes.

The show was launched in 2017 and provides a daily news briefing mixed with an interview had with a newsmaker. The program will continue to air its weekend edition, which features deep-dive interviews conducted by Virginia Allen, co-host of "Problematic Women," and other reporters at The Daily Signal.

Kinnett will continue to provide his commentary every evening on "The Tony Kinnett Cast." He said that the popularity of the show’s daily news roundup shows that people are eager to get their news quickly.

"‘Quick news roundup came out as the favorite segment across our platforms: radio, TV, podcast, and livestream,’” Kinnett said. “‘We are now going to consolidate that into our ‘Top News in 10’ show, giving our audience the day’s headlines bright and early before they even go to work.’ This is a great way of thanking the subscribers, viewers, and fans of The Daily Signal, by ensuring that they have the most up-to-date headlines ready for the start of their day.”

This is actually a unique one as Kinnett is an award-winning former public-school teacher and administrator from Indiana. All of these are his years when he was with The Daily Signal included investigative pieces acting to blow wide open radical teachings and policies existing within the public schools. This past November 2023, he totally veered off and headed into on-air operations with WIBC, Indianapolis.

Before coming to The Daily Signal in 2022, Kinnett co-founded Chalkboard Review to fill the voice gap present in other education-focused platforms for teachers and parents. He has also written for Fox News, Daily Wire, National Review, The Federalist, The Daily Caller, and The Washington Examiner.
